International Terms: These Terms of Service apply globally and comply with international laws and regulations. By using IronGuard.ai, you agree to these terms regardless of your location.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing, accessing, or using IronGuard ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms apply globally and comply with international laws including GDPR, CCPA, and other regional regulations. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use IronGuard.
2. Description of Service
IronGuard is a browser extension and security tool that provides real-time threat interception and blocking. The Extension operates entirely locally on your device and does not require external servers or user accounts.
3. License
IronGuard is provided under an open-source license. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Extension for personal or commercial purposes, subject to the terms of the applicable open-source license.
4. Use Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Use IronGuard for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Modify, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract source code without authorization
- Use IronGuard to interfere with or disrupt the security of any system or network
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- Distribute modified versions of IronGuard without proper attribution
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
IRONGUARD IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
While IronGuard is designed to provide threat protection, we do not guarantee that it will detect or block all threats. Security threats evolve constantly, and no security tool can provide 100% protection.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IRONGUARD AND ITS DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use IronGuard
- Any unauthorized access to or use of your device or data
- Any failure of IronGuard to detect or block threats
- Any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of IronGuard
7. No Guarantee of Protection
IronGuard is a security tool designed to help protect users, but it cannot guarantee complete protection against all threats. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining good security practices
- Keeping IronGuard updated
- Using additional security measures as appropriate
- Exercising caution when browsing the internet
8. Privacy
Your use of IronGuard is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review the Privacy Policy to understand how IronGuard handles data (or doesn't, as the case may be).
9. Open Source
IronGuard is open-source software. The source code is available for review, modification, and distribution in accordance with the applicable open-source license. Contributions to the project are welcome and subject to the project's contribution guidelines.
10. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of IronGuard after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using IronGuard at any time by uninstalling the Extension. We reserve the right to discontinue or modify IronGuard at any time without notice.
12. International Law & Jurisdiction
Governing Law: These Terms are governed by applicable international laws and regulations, including but not limited to GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), LGPD (Brazil), and other regional privacy and consumer protection laws.
Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be subject to the jurisdiction of your local courts, in compliance with applicable international law.
Regional Compliance: IronGuard.ai complies with all applicable regional laws and regulations. Users in the EU, California, Brazil, and other regulated regions are protected by their local consumer protection and privacy laws.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IronGuard.ai shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Extension. This limitation applies globally, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
EU Users: Nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a consumer under EU consumer protection law.
California Users: Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act or other California consumer protection laws.
14. Export Restrictions
IronGuard.ai may be subject to export control laws and regulations. You agree to comply with all applicable international export laws and regulations, including those of the United States, European Union, and your country of residence.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time to comply with changing laws and regulations. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
Material Changes: For material changes affecting your rights, we will provide reasonable notice through the Extension or our website.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remainder of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect.
